Two days to discover Vicenza and the villas designed and built by the architect Palladio around the Veneto region, both listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1994. The ideal solution for those who want to visit the art exhibition hosted inside the Basilica Palladiana and then plan an itinerary around the quaint streets of our city, regarded as a unique location for its buildings, ancient churches and magnificent villas.

For your first time in Vicenza, you can choose to visit the city together with a tourist guide for a 2-hour-long tour that will take you along the most elegant streets of the historic centre. The starting point is in Piazza Matteotti and there will also be the chance to pass through Piazza dei Signori. Our ‘Monumento Nazionale’, the Basilica Palladiana, is located there and will host the upcoming art exhibition. The next day it will be possible to visit the interiors of the main museums by purchasing the Vicenza Card, which includes the visit of 10 sites.

With a wine&food tasting experience, it will be possible to try local products, choosing from: restaurants and bistrot, distilleries and wine cellars near Marostica and Bassano del Grappa, renowned cheese factories from the Asiago Plateau, where the Asiago Dop cheese is made.

Before or after going to the art exhibition, walk enthusiasts can choose an itinerary that connects the city centre to the Sanctuary of Monte Berico, a monumental church dedicated to the co-patron of Vicenza, the Virgin Mary. It hosts several artistic jewels and masterpieces, such as the one by Renaissance painter Paolo Veronese. After enjoying the magnificent view of the city from the panoramic square, it will be possible to visit the Risorgimento and Resistance museum, close by the church, and then two famous villas: Valmarana Capra “la Rotonda” and Valmarana ai Nani.
